Mail Server Software Change
Saturday, July 05, 2008 9:28 PM
Starting Friday, July 11 at 8:00 PM CST, all mail services will be down while we switch to new mail server software. Service should resume on Saturday, July 12 by 11:00 PM CST. We apologize for any inconvenience.

In order to further support the open source community, we are changing from MailEnable Email Server software to hMailServer Email Server software. We will also be using RoundCube Webmail as our new webmail client. By changing to the new email server software, we can offer the IMAP email protocol to our customers. Most customers use a POP3 account, but this will now be an additional option. We ask that you make sure to check your email before we shut the server down as we will be changing the POP3 port for the old email server to 115. This is to ensure you have downloaded all your email to your email client. Otherwise, your email will only be accessible via webmail at http://webmail2.ohallwebservices.com.  You may change the port setting in your email client (see KB article below for MS Outlook) if you wish to check it via your desktop email client. But please understand, this is a temporary solution as we will be shutting down the old server software as of Friday, July 19 at 8:00 PM CST. After this, you will have to change your POP3 port settings back to the default of 110. The SMTP port will remain at the default setting of 25. At this time, the webmail link on the OHall WebServices website will be change to point to the RoundCube Webmail client.

Additional Information: Due to the changing of the software, all passwords will have to be reset. We will email new passwords to each email address in our system. We recommend you or your administrator change this password as soon as it is received.

If you wish to setup your account(s) using the IMAP protocol, please see the following Knowledge Base article:
